Types of Aluminum Foil for Pet Food Packing

Date:02-02-2023
Aluminum foil is a versatile and durable material that can be used to package and protect a variety of foods. It is a lightweight and recyclable sheet that offers barrier properties against moisture, light, oxygen, bacteria, grease, and other contaminants.
Choosing the right foil is important to ensure that it will be able to perform its job well and remain functional for a long period of time. Fortunately, there are different types of aluminum foil available in the market today, so you can easily find one that meets your needs.
Commonly available types of aluminum foil include Standard Duty Foil and Heavy-Duty Foil. Both of these come in a wide range of thicknesses and widths, so you can choose the perfect foil for your specific application.
Foil is a very thin sheet of metal that is made by melting molten aluminum ingots. The ingots are then pressed into hot rolling mills to reduce their thickness, making it thinner and easier for them to roll.
When they reach a thickness of about 5 mm, the ingots are spooled and sent to cold rolling mills where they will be reduced even further. This process produces two kinds of natural finishes: The outer side that contacts the mill work rolls gets a shiny finish, while the opposite side comes out with a matte finish.
Foil is widely used in the manufacturing of containers and trays for food products, including dry, wet, and frozen meals. It is also a popular choice for the packaging of pet food and snacks. It is highly versatile and is often used to wrap cooked items such as sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, and granola bars.
